For quite a few years, our curator, Mary Philips, gathered materials from the archives in the Meetinghouse and brought them to the Town Hall several doors down, for us all to sort through. We remember her fondly.
Our tireless curator, Linda Denoncourt, in 2014, took on the large task, trudging up the narrow stairs, gathering materials, and bringing them over to the Town Hall, giving us all a chance again to enjoy whatever we come across.
Everyone is welcome as we gather to examine and archive the society’s documents, maps, inherited photo albums, old newspaper clippings, antique garments, and various donated materials. Decisions are made as to the best ways to repair, preserve, and organize these materials for future generations. The workshop culminates at noon with a luncheon of hearty home-cooked soups, hence the name!
