The Salisbury Historical Map Viewer, hosted on the ArcGIS Online platform, provides convenient access to its extensive geodatabase of historic features on computers, tablets, and mobile devices. Even with all the exciting progress so far, there are still plenty of photos of both existing and vanished buildings to include, along with a good number of unidentified cellar holes that need more research. If you are interested in supporting this project, please get in touch with SHS President Joe Schmidl, president@salisburyhistoricalsociety.org
How to use this viewer: Place your cursor on the map and drag to move, or use the +/- controls or scroll to zoom in. Click on an icon to discover its history. Green icons denote “extant” features, which are still present. The brown icon denotes “ruins” features; you may not find even a cellar hole at some of these locations.
