The “Souper Bowl” formally kicks off the Salisbury Historical Society’s busy season. In early spring volunteers gather in the Salisbury Town Hall under the direction of our curator Mary Philips to examine and archive the society’s documents, maps, inherited photo albums, old newspaper clippings, antique garments and various donated material. Decisions are made as to the best ways to repair, preserve and organize these materials for future generations. The workshop culminates at noon with a luncheon of hearty home cooked soups. All are welcomed.
