This part of town is know for its rolling fields and scenic farmland views.
For several generations it has been the home of the Shaw Family.
A one room schoolhouse existed on North Road and it is quite likely that Daniel Webster attended for a short time. The school was destroyed by fire while being removed in recent times.

This part of Salisbury once included the Daniel Webster Birthplace. When Franklin was formed a boundary line placed the farm into the Town of Franklin.
