Due to circumstances beyond John Gfroerer’s control he will not be able to present the program on the History of the New Hampshire Primary.  

 


JULY 18, 2023   Tuesday 5:30 pm ANNUAL COOKOUT, Pot Luck and Open House.

All invited. Free of charge.


JULY 22, 29 & August 5th 2023  Saturdays 9-11 am

We will be at the Meeting House and able to receive your donations for the White Elephant Sale for Old Home Day.

All proceeds from the sale go to the Salisbury Historical Society. Thank you!

Terms for President, Secretary, Treasurer, one Trustee and the Curator expire this month. Elections for placements will be held at this  meeting.


NOVEMBER 11  10am  Bean/Smith’s Corner Cemetery

 Ceremony for our Private John Haskell, an African American soldier who fought in the Civil War.
 Three years ago a stone was finally erected for him.
 This will be held at the Bean/Smith’s Corner Cemetery on Route 4,  south of the Crossroads Store adjacent to the Stevens and Maplewood Cemeteries. November 11 at 10am.  
 The Congregational Church minister will speak and a flag will be folded and presented to the Historical Society.    
 An original article about Pvt. Haskell and our efforts to honor him ran in the Concord Monitor on January 5, 2020.
